Menu Button
The Menu Button provides quick access to up to 10 macros through a built-in menu. It supports 3 operating modes that control how the menu appears and how macros are selected.
Operating Modes
Standard Mode
A single tap opens a menu listing up to 10 macros. Tap a menu item to execute that macro.
Dynamic Mode
A long press opens the menu. Select a macro to assign it to the button. After assignment, a single tap executes the selected macro without opening the menu. Long press again to change the selection.
Menu On Long Press
A single tap triggers the main macro (set in the Macro section of the button settings). A long press opens the menu with secondary macros.
Configure Menu Items
Step 1: Select an Item Number
In the Menu Items > Macro section of the Inspector, choose the item number corresponding to the menu position.
Step 2: Assign a Macro
Open the macro editor for the selected item and configure the macro.
Important: Set a name for each macro. The menu displays macro names as labels. If a macro has no name, its slot appears empty in the menu.
Pro Tip: The Macro section in the main button settings area contains the macro triggered on a single tap in Standard Mode. Leave it empty if you do not need a macro on the initial tap.
Dynamic Menu Item Selection
When Enable Menu Item Selection on Long Press is on:
- A long press opens the menu for macro selection.
- The selected macro becomes the default single-tap action.
- Set an item to Don't Change Macro for Single Tap to keep the single tap executing the main macro while still allowing menu access via long press.
Snapshots
The Menu Button supports snapshots. A snapshot saves the button's current state, including the assigned macro and the Enable Menu Item Selection on Long Press setting. Restoring a snapshot recalls these settings.
