Dashboard Appearance
MetaGrid Pro lets you customize the dashboard layout and colors at 3 levels: global, workspace, and grid. Each level overrides the one above it.
How Skins Affect the Dashboard
The active grid's skin sets the color scheme for the entire dashboard UI. When you switch grids, the dashboard colors update to match.
3 Levels of Customization
- Global: Applies to all grids in all profiles. Acts as the default.
- Workspace: Applies to all grids within a specific workspace. Overrides global settings when active.
- Grid: Applies to a single grid. Overrides both global and workspace settings.
Global Appearance
Step 1: Open Global Appearance Settings
Go to Settings > Interface Appearance.
Step 2: Configure the Dashboard Layout
Select a layout combination: Grid/Top Bar/Side Bar, Grid/Top Bar, or Grid only. Set the sidebar position to Left, Right, Top, or Bottom. Adjust the dashboard color intensity from 8 available levels, derived from the active grid's skin.
Step 3: Adjust Sidebar and Grid Options
Set sidebar transparency, grid padding, grid border visibility, and sidebar button visibility.
Workspace-Level Appearance
Step 1: Open Workspace Display Options
Swipe left on the target workspace in the Content Manager and tap Edit. Expand the Display Options section and enable Override Dashboard Appearance.
Step 2: Customize Workspace Settings
Adjust the available options. These settings apply only when this workspace is active.
Grid-Level Appearance
Step 1: Open Grid Display Options
Swipe left on the target grid in the Content Manager and tap Edit. Expand the Dashboard Appearance section and enable Override Dashboard Appearance Settings.
Step 2: Customize Grid Visuals
Adjust grid-specific settings such as Grid Background Intensity, Transparent Sidebar, or Show Border.
Background Image Packs
Step 1: Apply a Background Image
Open Grid Background Image Settings from the Grid Editor. Enable Show Background Image and select an image.
Step 2: Adjust Image Appearance
Textures and Shapes support tinting with a customizable fill type and color. Images cannot be tinted, but you can adjust transparency to blend them with the background.
Pro Tip: Set button backgrounds to transparent when using background images. This creates high-contrast visual effects that make buttons stand out against the image.
