File Locations & Types
intermediateWhere MetaGrid Pro stores files across iCloud, Dropbox, Google Drive, and OneDrive, and what each file extension means.
When you import or export, MetaGrid Pro shows a channel picker so you can choose where files come from or go to.
On This iPad
- iCloud Drive saves or reads files from MetaGrid Pro's iCloud Drive folders.
- Share exports through the iPad share sheet, so you can use AirDrop, Mail, Messages, Save to Files, and other apps.
- Shared appears when importing. It means files that were opened in MetaGrid Pro from Files, AirDrop, Mail, Messages, or another app.
Cloud Services
Depending on your settings, you may also see:
- Google Drive
- Dropbox
- OneDrive
If a cloud service does not appear, open Settings > Cloud Services and check whether the service is visible and connected.
Typical cloud locations are:
- iCloud Drive > MetaGrid Pro
- Dropbox > Apps > MetaGrid Pro
- Google Drive > MetaGrid
- OneDrive > MetaGrid
MetaGrid Pro sorts files into folders such as Profiles, Workspaces, Grids, Buttons, Macros, Faders, Labels, XY Controllers, Pads, Gesture Pads, Palettes, and Backup.
File Types
MetaGrid Pro files use different extensions so the app knows what each file contains.
