Label

Labels display text, separators, or timecode on a grid. They do not trigger macros. Use them to organize grid sections, annotate button groups, or show live timecode from your DAW.

Text

Configure label text in the Text section of the Inspector:

  • Text — The content displayed on the label.
  • Size — Font size.
  • Alignment — Left, Centre, or Right.
  • Style — Normal or italic.
  • Weight — Ranges from Ultralight to Black.
  • Width — Compressed, Condensed, Standard, or Expanded.
  • Color — Sets the text color.
  • Transparency — Adjusts text opacity.

Layout

The Layout section controls the label's visual presentation:

  • Layout — Choose text only, text with a line, or text with a colored background.
  • Secondary Color — Sets the color of the accompanying line or background fill.
  • Show Line Only — Displays only the line (when a line layout is selected), creating a vertical or horizontal divider without text.
  • Separator Type — Solid, Dotted, or Dashed.

Timecode Display

Labels can show live timecode from your DAW. Enable Show Timecode in the Inspector and choose between full timecode (Bar:Beats:Subdivisions) or Bar and Beats only.

Timecode display uses the Mackie Control protocol. Your DAW must have a Mackie Control device configured with the MetaSystem MCU port as both the incoming and outgoing MIDI port.
