Status & Devices
The Status page shows connected devices, connection quality, and system alerts. It is the first page you see when you open MetaServer.
Alerts
Alert cards appear at the top when MetaServer detects issues that need attention. Each card shows the problem, when it occurred, and a suggested fix. Tap an alert to navigate to the relevant settings page.
Common alerts include missing permissions, network problems, and USB connection errors.
Connected Devices
Each connected iPad appears as a row showing:
- Device name and hardware model
- Connection type badge: USB or Wi-Fi
- Status indicator — a colored dot reflecting connection health
USB devices show a green status dot. Wi-Fi devices show a color-coded dot based on latency: green (good), yellow (moderate), or orange (high).
Connection Quality (Wi-Fi)
Tap a Wi-Fi device row to expand its connection quality panel. The panel displays:
- Sparkline chart — a real-time latency graph with color-coded zones at 50ms, 100ms, and 150ms thresholds
- Round Trip — current latency in milliseconds
- Jitter — variation in latency over time
- Packet Loss — percentage of dropped packets
- Wi-Fi Band — the frequency band (2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, or 6 GHz) with signal strength
When stability issues are detected, additional metrics appear: duplicate packets, out-of-order packets, and delayed packet percentage.
Pro Tip: If latency is consistently above 50ms or jitter is high, switch to a 5 GHz network or use a USB connection instead.
