Files & Custom Icons (Windows)

intermediateSet file paths for Cubase macro XML files, Dorico key commands, and a custom icons folder.

The Files tab configures file paths for DAW integration and custom icons on Windows MetaServer.

Note: On Mac MetaServer (and Windows MetaServer 6+), the Integrations page replaces the per-file path UI described below — each integration manages its own files via a sectioned Integration Components card. See Integration Files for the new model. The Files tab here applies to Windows MetaServer builds without the Integrations panel.

Download the App Specific Resources package from metagrid.app for the Cubase and Dorico files referenced below.

Cubase

Two file path fields for Cubase Generic Remote macro XML files. Click the ... button next to each field to browse for the file.

Select Metasystem_macros.xml and Metasystem_macros2.xml from the App Specific Resources package. These files map MetaGrid Pro commands to Cubase Logical Editor presets via Generic Remote.

Dorico

One file path field for the Dorico key commands JSON file. Click ... to browse. The file is typically located at:

C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Steinberg\Dorico [version]\keycommands_en.json

This gives MetaGrid Pro access to Dorico's full command set.

Custom Icons Folder

MetaGrid Pro can display custom icons served from a folder on your PC. Click ... to select the folder containing your icon files.

When MetaGrid Pro's icon source is set to Local Folder, it loads icons from this directory. Icons must be in PNG format.

Cubase / Nuendo

Dorico

Point MetaServer at Dorico's key commands JSON to access every Dorico command from MetaGrid Pro; the Menu Command action covers anything not in the JSON.
