Macros Do Not Trigger
Start here if buttons respond in MetaGrid Pro but nothing happens on the computer.
Check Mac Permissions
MetaServer requires 3 permissions in System Settings > Privacy & Security:
- Accessibility
- Input Monitoring
- Automation
These permissions are normally granted during MetaServer installation. If macros stop working, verify each one is still enabled.
Step 1: Confirm the Install Location
Make sure MetaServer is installed in the Applications folder on your Mac.
Step 2: Check for Duplicate Instances
Ensure only 1 instance of MetaServer is running.
Step 3: Verify Permissions
Open System Settings > Privacy & Security and confirm MetaServer is enabled under Accessibility, Input Monitoring, and Automation.
Check Firewall and Anti-Malware Software
Firewall or anti-malware software can block communication between MetaServer and MetaGrid Pro.
Step 1: Check the Blocklist
Open your firewall or anti-malware settings and check whether MetaServer is on the blocklist.
Step 2: Remove MetaServer from the Blocklist
If MetaServer is listed, remove it to restore communication between MetaServer and MetaGrid Pro.
