Workspaces

Workspaces group grids and scenes within a profile. Use them to organize separate sets of controls for different tasks, projects, or shared configurations without affecting your existing setup.

Why Use Workspaces

A profile can hold multiple workspaces, each containing its own grids and scenes. This is useful when:

  • Someone shares a grid/scene set for the same application. Import it into a new workspace to keep your existing layout untouched.
  • You manage multiple projects or workflows in 1 application. Create a workspace for each to keep controls organized.

Create a Workspace

Step 1: Open the Workspaces Section

Go to the Content Manager. The Workspaces section is between Profiles and Grids.

Step 2: Add a New Workspace

Create a new workspace within the profile. Import or create grids and assign scenes as needed.

Activate a Workspace

Only 1 workspace can be active at a time within a profile.

Option A: From the Content Manager

Swipe left on the workspace you want and tap Activate.

Option B: From the Dashboard Top Bar

Go to Settings > Appearance and enable Show Workspaces in the Top Bar. When a profile has more than 1 workspace, the dashboard top bar displays a workspace selector. The active workspace is marked with a red dot.

Share and Import Workspaces

Share a workspace with other MetaGrid Pro users or import theirs. Imported workspaces are added alongside your existing ones without modifying your current setup.
