STAN'S STORY
As a trailer music composer working under tight deadlines, a streamlined and reliable workflow is crucial. MetaGrid Pro has become an invaluable time-saver. Tasks I frequently use in MIDI editing—like humanize, advanced quantize, adding octaves, and expanding/compressing velocity or CC data—are now much more efficient. In Logic Pro, which lacks native macro support, I can create macros directly within MetaGrid Pro without relying on third-party tools like Keyboard Maestro. Plus, its seamless integration with Logic makes it easy to expand my template without assigning key commands first.
Since MetaGrid partnered with PlugSearch and Art Conductor, my workflow has accelerated even more. I’ve added my favorite instruments and mix plugins to my grid, making them accessible with a single touch. On my second iPad Pro, I’ve dedicated an entire section to articulation switching with Art Conductor, which allows me to change articulations effortlessly, even while recording.

One standout feature I’ve recently embraced is the XY pad, which I link to two MIDI CCs (e.g., pitch and low cut). This feature allows me to shape unique synth sounds or create realistic orchestral performances by controlling dynamics and vibrato simultaneously.
Now, I rely on MetaGrid Pro not only in Logic but across almost all my applications. Its handy features in Safari, Finder, Word, and Mail have saved me countless hours.
