Presets Store

The Presets Store provides ready-made grids, workspaces, and complete workflows that you can browse, preview, and install directly within MetaGrid Pro.

Open the Presets Library

Access the Presets screen from Settings > Presets or from the Content Manager.

The screen has 2 panels:

  • Left panel — the full library of available presets, grouped by category.
  • Right panel — details for the selected preset, including preview image, description, tags, and author information.

Types of Presets

Presets fall into 2 categories: Free and Premium.

Free Presets

Available to all MetaGrid Pro premium subscribers with full macro access. Users on the free version can download them, but macros remain locked.

Premium Presets

Require an additional one-time purchase. These are typically created by third-party experts and include advanced workflows and specialized layouts. Premium presets are marked with a diamond icon and include a Purchase button.

Pro Tip: You can download any preset for free to preview its layout and design. Macros stay locked until you subscribe (Free presets) or purchase (Premium presets).

Download vs. Purchase

Downloading and purchasing are separate actions:

  • Download — installs the preset and lets you preview its layout, design, and structure.
  • Purchase — unlocks all macros so they can communicate with your computer.

This lets you evaluate any preset before committing to it.

Preset Structure

Each preset contains either:

  • A single grid, or
  • A complete workspace with multiple grids and scenes.

Both types can be browsed, previewed, and downloaded. Macro access depends on your account type and purchase status.

Find and Filter Presets

Use the search bar to locate presets by name, or apply filters to narrow results by:

  • Platform (e.g., macOS, Windows)
  • Format (Grid, Workspace)
  • Access type (Included in Subscription, Premium)

Active filters appear as chips at the top of the list. Tap the X icon on a chip to remove a single filter, or tap Clear All to reset.

Preset Details

The details panel shows:

  • Grid Preview — a visual snapshot of the preset layout.
  • Description — what the preset does and which app it targets.
  • Tags — platform, orientation, format, and editability.
  • Author Information — creator details.
  • Version Information — update history and changes.
  • Download / Purchase buttons.
  • Watch the Video, Go To Website, User Guide buttons (when available).
  • Important information (when available).

Install a Preset

Step 1: Download the Preset

Tap Download on the preset you want to install.

Step 2: Choose an Installation Method

  • Install as Profile — recommended if you do not already have a profile for the target application. Tap Next, then Install.
  • Add as Workspace — if you already have a profile for that application. Tap Next, select the destination profile, and tap Install.
  • Add as Grid — if the preset contains a single grid, install it directly into any existing profile and workspace.

Automatic Recommendations and Updates

When you switch to an application on your computer, MetaGrid Pro checks for matching presets and offers to install them. On each launch, the app also scans for new or updated presets and notifies you when new content is available.

Support Creators

Purchasing premium presets supports the independent MetaGrid Pro development team and the third-party authors who design specialized templates. These purchases fund ongoing development and encourage creators to expand the preset library.
